Los Poblanos is a very special place, to say the least.

bits of pieces of my story and bits and pieces of yours.
Los Poblanos is a very special place, to say the least.
I learned of it shortly after I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, when I photographed my first local wedding there. Yeah, talk about setting the bar high.
Earlier this week I had the opportunity to do a lifestyle shoot for a start up, Kitchensurfing.com. I totally believe in the vision and mission of this company, so it was a privilege to partner with them in this way!
These photos are from a couple of weeks back when I was in Chicago for a gorgeous wedding. I spent the few hours before my flight having some downtime with my family. Now that I don’t live near them anymore, I find myself wanting to capture the small moments more frequently, because memories are too fleeting. When I pulled my camera out, they all scowled a bit about how they didn’t look photo ready, but it didn’t take long to persuade them that I wanted to remember them all just like this. Pictured here are my mom, grandma, and grandpa. I hope to share more of these “snapshots” on the blog.
In my last post I shared the feature of Rue Magazine’s 30th issue where I got to do a fun story on my favorite Seattle shops. Since I have so many more photos of each shop that was featured, I wanted to share the “outtakes” on here! First up is Moorea Seal’s lovely boutique in Bell Town, Seattle.
I’ve been itching to share this feature all summer, waiting for Rue’s anniversary issue to be released.
It was the perfect combination of so many things I love, exploring cities, photographing interiors, and visiting well curated shops.
This is just the first spread though, check out the full feature here to see what other shops are on my must see list!
Read through your feature yesterday and it was WONDERFUL! I’m headed out to Seattle for the very first time at the end of March — cannot wait! Definitely jotting down these places. Moorea Seal is also one of my favorites all the way out here in NYC. Love that you mentioned her and her shop!
